The Most Recent

Exams are finally over, grades are turned in and I am officially on Holiday. It is a week in Windhoek for a workshop and them off to the remote northwest for camping with friends. Recent events have frazzeled my nerves, one of which is finding a very large lizard in a bowl in my kitchen. I store that particuular dish upside down now. I have also inherited some puppies. Three to be exact. If anyone would like an African puppy they are cute and naughty.

As far as school goes everything is well. We are overworked and understaffed not to mention underfunded. If anyone would like to send any sort of school supplies care of Justin we can always use them. I have just picked up another class of English bringing the grand total to 4 along with 2 of geograghy and multiple nonpromotionals. I mark papers in my sleep. I was warned many times that the first term is the worst as far as pressures and workload goes and those people were not mistaken. It is over though and now i know much better how I need to be organized for the next term. I am also trying to get the library going and keep it sustainable after I am gone. I have a comittee with talented teachers but they are all teachign the maximum amount of hours. If anyone has any spare teachers send them care of Justin in Namibia we can sue them.

My cullinary skills have also blossomed in Namibia. The store is a day's journey so if you don't have it go without or make do. I made some very tantalizing sloppy joes as well as homade french fries. I also made some tollhouse cookies that were very good considering I had no butter or chocolate morsels. Sunflower oil and M & M's worked substantially. My family loves it when I cook and I definitely have an audience ever time that the stove is lit. Otherwise everything is good. I love my job and the people in the community. Right now i am very tired and haggard but that is what holiday is for. Thanks to everyone for keeping in touch and all the great packages that have been sent.
